    Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 6 - 8|Yom Kippur: Sept. 15 & 16


    For the upcoming High Holidays, we have an opportunity that will - G-d willing - enable our Chabad of The Nyacks family to usher in the new year of 5782 together, while staying safe.


    Our Grounds

    High Holiday Services will be held outdoors in a tent. The address of the facility will be provided upon registration.

    Rosh Hashanah DIY KIT

    Regardless of whether you are up to attending in-person services this year, we have prepared a DIY KIT for you. Click here to reserve yours.

    Shofar Order & Tutorial

    If you will be unable to attend in-person services this year, we are pleased to have Shofars for sale. Click here to purchase yours.Click here for a Shofar tutorial .

    Advance Registration Required

    In order to accommodate everyone and properly prepare for a safe and enjoyable experience, advance online registration is mandatory for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Registration will be open until Sunday. Sept. 5, 2021.

    Children

    There will be a simultaneous children’s service for part of the service times - DURING DAY TIME SERVICES FROM 11am - 12noon . During the rest of the service, parents will be asked to mind for their children in the main tent.

    All families can also participate and are encouraged to join us on Tuesday, September 6 for Shofar on The Go.

    Fees & Contributions

    As always, we do not charge to participate in our services. However, we thank you for consideringa generous donation together with your High Holidays reservations. 

    Your gift will enable us to cover the associated costs with making all this possible and willhelp provide the much needed year-round services and educational programs for the local Jewish community.

    Option 1- Outdoor Full Service

    For those wishing to participate in the full schedule of services for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, services will be held outdoors under an open tent canopy. Services will have ample seating but will be on a first come first serve basis. Registration is mandatory.

    For this option, an email will be sent within 48 hours of your registration to confirm your seats.

    Option 2 - Yizkor Service

    On Yom Kippur day, Thursday, Sept `16, we will offer a stand alone Yizkor service. Registration is mandatory.

    Option 3 - Shofar on The Go (1st Day Rosh Hashanah)

    To accommodate families with young children and those who are otherwise unable to hear the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah, we will be offering a Shofar on The Go service along with Tashlich, at the Public Pier at 1 Main Street in Nyack (adjacent to and just north of the residential tower at the foot of Main Street, beyond the black double iron gate), at 5:30 pm on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Tuesday, Sept. 7. Registration requested.

    Option 4 - Private Shofar service

    Those who are elderly or immuno-compromised should contact us via email or phone to see how we can accommodate a private shofar service.

    Tallit, Kipah & Prayer book

    A tallit, kipah and prayer book will be set aside for those who choose option 1. Kipot and copies of prayers will be provided for options 2 & 3. Of course, we recommend bringing a kippah and tallit of your own.

    Kiddush Luncheon

    A light Kiddush and break-fast will be available after the service on the 2 days of day of Rosh Hashanah and for the break-fast of Yom Kippur. Bottled water will be available on Rosh Hashanah.
